In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Location is hard to beat. — Guest after guest mentions walking to the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Trajan's Market and Termini station, with a metro entrance close by and plenty of restaurants, bars and shops on the street.
  • Staff are a genuine highlight. — Reviewers describe friendly, accommodating service, with particular praise for the breakfast team, including one host who remembered their drink preferences.
  • Rooms are quiet despite the busy street. — Soundproofing gets specific praise, and rooms are repeatedly described as clean, comfortable and, in several cases, more spacious than expected for the category.
  • Strong value for the price. — With rates from £305 and a 7.9 guest rating across 295 reviews, guests call the price-performance ratio excellent, especially given the central location.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Breakfast ends earlier than some would like. — One guest specifically wished breakfast continued until around 11 o'clock, suggesting the current service window is shorter than ideal for late risers.
  • The breakfast juice is the weakest point. — Guests praised the bread, cake, coffee, sausages and scrambled eggs, but one reviewer noted the juice comes from a machine and tastes more like soda than juice.
  • Check-in times are fixed. — Rooms are available from 14:00 until 23:59; no late-arrival window is listed, so it's worth contacting the hotel if you land outside these hours.
  • Pets are not allowed. — If you usually travel with a dog or cat, this property won't work — the policy is explicit.

“The hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were nicely decorated and felt a good size — certainly not small. I was especially impressed by the soundproofing; despite the busy road outside, I slept peacefully. The breakfast staff were outstanding and the continental spread had plenty of choice. The location was excellent too, with most sights within walking distance and public transport easy to reach.”

“We would happily recommend this hotel to friends visiting Rome. Trajan's Market was within walking distance, and we found a nice gelateria called La Dolce Vita nearby that also serves hot drinks.”

7.9Verified guest

“The location is everything — you can reach most places on foot, and the Roman Forum is right in front of the hotel. The metro entrance is very close, a little further up the same sidewalk, and the street is lively day and night, which is handy for a last-minute meal or shopping, with a supermarket nearby. Breakfast was just right and everything tasted good: bread, cake, coffee, sausages and scrambled eggs. The only thing I'd improve is the juice — it comes from the usual machine and tastes more like soda than actual juice. Otherwise it was perfectly acceptable, and the cafeteria staff were really nice; in fact, all the staff were very friendly.”

“Excellent value for money — the price feels right for the quality of service and amenities. Staff pay close attention to detail and made sure the stay was comfortable. The location is hard to beat: Termini station and several sights, including the Colosseum, are within walking distance. Rooms are well-kept with the essentials, and breakfast was a satisfying way to start the day.”

“Great value for money. The staff were very friendly, the location is central, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars right nearby.”

“The location was extremely convenient, with major tourist attractions just a short walk away. My room was spotless and well-maintained, which was a definite plus. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the whole stay was comfortable.”
